After more than 150 days of construction, at 17:24 on October 29, the 500kV Yangjiang Shaba Phase III offshore wind power connection system project was successfully completed and put into operation. After it is put into operation, an additional 1,600 MW of new energy will be sent out every year.

This is after the start of production of key projects such as the first phase of the optimization of the 500 kV grid in western Guangdong, the access system project of units 5 and 6 of the 500 kV Yangxi Power Plant, and the access system project of the 500 kV Yangjiang Pumped-storage Power Plant. Within this month, Guangdong Power Grid added another 500 kV power transmission channel, which is of great significance to help Guangdong Province achieve carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals, and to build a new power system with new energy as the main body.
